Summer Program Overview

During our summer camps, students will enjoy diverse activities each day with games, music and movement, dramatic play, visual arts and crafts, and more to encourage language development in the Spanish language. Each week there is a specific theme that will focus our language learning and activities. There will be diverse activities to fit all developmental levels and interests of students. We will give students all the fun and excitement they crave in a summer camp, completely immersed in the Spanish language and Hispanic culture.

Infants and Toddlers 6 weeks – 18 months

Choosing the best care for your babies is the most difficult thing for a parent. Our primary goal is to work together with parents to ensure that our littlest students receive the best care possible. We maintain a ratio of 1 caregiver to 3 children in our infant room. Teachers are well-trained in child development and continuing education is a priority.

Toddlers 18 months – 2.5 years

These little explorers are on the move! Between 12-18 months, babies start transitioning into this group. They make the complete transition once they move to one nap a day and are independently walking. They are still babies in their momma’s eyes. They are in to everything. They are observant and interested in the world around them. The world is their playground. Teachers focus on keeping them safe by engaging them in meaningful activities with developmentally appropriate materials.

2 - 3 years

Los Cachorros (the puppies) is a group made up of capable two year olds who are ready for potty-training and transitioning into a more challenging learning environment. They are on the go and are preschoolers in training. Teachers in this class are trained as preschool teachers and will lead students in age appropriate activities using Learning Without Tears and Zoophonics principles. Los Cachorros are practicing pre-writing techniques and developing fine motor skills using a variety of products. They focus on body awareness and articulation of speech sounds.

Preschool 3 - 5 years

Los Tigres are younger than 4 in August and still have two years before entering kindergarten. They are integrated with the older students for part of their day and share the same space at times. They do have a different lead teacher and are divided for the learning blocks at the beginning of the day. See the complete schedule to understand this rotation.

Pre-kindergarten

Los Leones are the leaders in our preschool. They are preparing to enter kindergarten and are the most capable learners. These students are eager to learn “big kid” tasks and skills.

6 - 12 years

We offer after-school care for children from Kindergarten-Sixth Grade. We strive to provide a similar environment to these students such as they would receive if being welcomed home by family after a long day at school. A snack, chance to relax, get some gross motor play, get help with homework and music practice, and unwind after a long day at school.
